What is Candida? It is a fungus, which is a form of yeast.
Very small amounts of it live in your mouth and intestines. It's job is to aid digestion and nutrient absorption but, when overproduced, candida breaks down the wall of the intestine and penetrates the bloodstream releasing toxic by products into your body and causing leaky gut.
This can lead to many health problems ranging from digestive problems to depression.
Thrives and survives on sugar, therefore sugars and sugar-producing carbohydrates must be eliminated from your diet. Limited amounts of sugar that comes from natural foods, such as fruits are allowed.
Yeast free supplements are useful in the diet. Foods containing white vinegar, such as: salad dressings, mustard, should be eliminated from your diet. All forms of alcohol, beers, wines should also be left out of your diet. Carbohydrates found in bread, rolls also should go.
