We all know someone who has suffered with Dementia. Alzheimer's is a build up of proteins in the brain to form structures called 'Plaques' and 'tangles'. This leads to the loss of connections between nerve cells and eventually to the death of nerve cells and loss of brain tissue..

When there is a shortage of them, the signals are not transmitted as effectively. Current treatments for Alzheimer's Disease can help boost the levels of chemical messengers in the brain. These chemical messengers help transmit signals around the brain.

Treatments can help boost the levels of chemical messengers to the brain, which can help with some of the symptoms. Alzheimer's is a progressive disease. This means gradually overtime, more parts of the brain are damaged. As this happens, more symptoms develop. They become more severe.

Symptoms: Alzheimer's disease are generally mild to start with, but they get worse overtime and start to interfere with daily life. It's important to remember everyone's unique, so common symptoms may vary to the individual. Earliest signs - memory lapse..losing items such as keys, glasses, struggle to find the right word in a conversation or forget someone's name, forget about recent conversations or events, get lost in familiar place or on a familiar journey, forget appointments or anniversaries.

These may be affected : language, visuospatial skills, organising, concentrating, planning, orientation. They may become irritable, or depressed. Losing interests in hobbies abd activities.

It is extremely rare to inherit Alzheimer's.

Here are 5 Herbs for Alzheimer's Disease:

Lemon Balm (Stimulates receptors)

Sage (Inhibits acetylcholinesterase in a similar way to Alzheimer's drug)

Gingko Biloba (Known to support blood flow, and oxygen to the brain, Gingko may promote cognition )

Cat's Claw (It dialates blood vessels, which might make it helpful herb for Alzheimer's diseased patients, who don't get enough blood flow and therefore oxygen in their brain cells)

Ginseng (In addition to diabetes, cancer, colds and flu, ginseng extract reduced cell death in Alzheimer's disease in animal studies, so may be affective for humans)

In addition to consulting an holistic physician and utilizing these key herbs, those with early signs of dementia or Alzheimer's should lower their stress levels, consume more Vit. E and include more raw organic virgin coconut oil into their diets.

What is Candida? It is a fungus, which is a form of yeast.

Very small amounts of it live in your mouth and intestines. It's job is to aid digestion and nutrient absorption but, when overproduced, candida breaks down the wall of the intestine and penetrates the bloodstream releasing toxic by products into your body and causing leaky gut.

This can lead to many health problems ranging from digestive problems to depression.

Thrives and survives on sugar, therefore sugars and sugar-producing carbohydrates must be eliminated from your diet. Limited amounts of sugar that comes from natural foods, such as fruits are allowed.

Yeast free supplements are useful in the diet. Foods containing white vinegar, such as: salad dressings, mustard, should be eliminated from your diet. All forms of alcohol, beers, wines should also be left out of your diet. Carbohydrates found in bread, rolls also should go.

In addition mold-containing foods such as : cheese should be avoided. Foods that promote mold growth should also be eliminated such as: cured pork, bacon, mushrooms, pickled fish, and meats, soy sauce, malt and foods that contain malt as well as canned tomatoes.

Fresh tomatoes can be consumed while on the diet. Eliminate ALL processed sugars, including: bottled, canned, frozen fruit juices, dried fruits, honey, brown sugar, maple syrup and anything that contains high-fructose corn syrup.

Foods that are acceptable on a candida elimination diet include ALL fresh vegetables, proteins found in meats, and eggs. Complex carbohydrates are acceptable, like those found in barley, buckwheat, rice and couscous, whole grain oats and beans but should be limited to 15 grams per meal. Fresh fruits are acceptable but grapes, prunes, raisins, dates and figs should be avoided.

Individuals who are attempting to cleanse themselves of systemic candida should avoid all processed foods.

All the best on your cleansing journey.
